What's new at Bright Ideas Event Coordinators?Bright Ideas Wins “Peoples Choice” Award! Winning the "People's Choice Award" at the International Special Events Society (ISES) Buffet Blowout for a second year in a row, was a great way for us to start off 2008. Our approach each year to the Buffet Blowout is to showcase our talents and creativity in a big way, as we weave the theme through our booth, taking into consideration the tiniest of details. And this year was no exception with our 1960's Austin Power inspired "Shag Shack" display. Items like a circular bed, aluminium TV dinner trays, MoJo Juice, lava lamp key chains and fur covered TV trays filled the booth. We even had Austin Powers in the flesh! Bright Ideas won the "People's Choice Award" which was voted on by all attendees of the event, including celebrity judges. The annual event is a buffet style competition where Vancouver's top caterers team up with design/décor companies to create a visual, tasting experience for the guests. The event occurred on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at Can Am Importique in Burnaby. The overall theme of the evening was the 50's/60's/70's. Bright Ideas and their team were chosen to represent the 60's and hence, the "Shag Shack" was born.  To view more photos, please visit our recent events gallery.
