Purple Spring Celebration

The guests of honor wanted to celebrate their engagement in Miami. That wasn’t possible. Bringing a taste of South Beach to Vancouver, British Columbia however, was no problem… with our creative thinking “outside of the box”. The clients chose a stunning waterfront venue. Purple and white décor, elegant music, a signature drink, and first class gourmet Indian cuisine provided a feast for all senses. Guests also enjoyed a variety of entertainment and activities…

Winter Wonderland

When the client asked Bright Ideas to transform the venue into a Winter Wonderland, she got just that; a breathtaking winter scene complete with falling snow, ice bars, sparkling white birch trees and snowflake gobos.

Oktoberfest Celebration

Oktoberfest in February? We made it happen. Guests were greeted by costumed actors in Lederhosen as they entered the venue which had been transformed to resemble a Festhalle setting. German beer tasting stations surrounded a flowing cast iron fountain in the Platz. Guests were amazed at the 24’ ribbon ring which was suspended above the stage where a German band belted out authentic Oktoberfest songs.

Rock N Roll BBQ

Guests were treated to a complete 1950’s experience with Antique Cars, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Creative 1950 Crafts & Activities and Old Fashioned Sundaes. A beautifully packaged box of nostalgic 1950’s Candy was awarded for the best dressed female and male. The hit of the party; decorating your own Cat Eye Glasses & Chiffon Scarves.

High Seas Celebration

Business colleagues joined in the “cruise ship fun” as they sailed the high seas in first class style. Guests visited 3 Ports of Call during the evening and experienced cuisine and entertainment from Mexico, Greece and Jamaica. Theme entertainment greeted the guests as they sailed into each port.

Viva Las Vegas

The event was a holiday party with a Vegas twist!  Guests of this software company were divided into teams named after famous Las Vegas hotels. They gambled and competed all throughout the night to see which team would end up with the most money.

West Coast Celebration

Honoring the First Nations’ connection to our region is an increasingly popular theme for many of our clients. The event featured traditional dancing and drumming, a menu with an emphasis on locally-grown ingredients, and décor with a West Coast theme. This theme is especially popular with overseas guests, who love the opportunity to learn about and enjoy British Columbia’s native cultures.

Tropical Paradise

Guests didn’t need to fly to Tahiti to get a taste of this Tropical Paradise. Grass skirts, daring fire-spinners, delicious tropical fruits and tasty appetizers all contributed to this event’s Polynesian feel. To join in the fun, guests were invited to wear their favorite Hawaiian shirt, while hula dancers got everyone’s hips swinging during the evening’s entertainment.

Wild Wild West

Western themes are always a good fit for events in British Columbia. It’s a chance to celebrate a bit of heritage, enjoy hearty local dishes, and wear a cowboy hat! This event featured Klondike-era entertainment with dancing girls and casino games, a wide variety of foods, from dainty finger food, to finger licking good BBQ dishes, all surrounded by décor to recreate an authentic looking Western town complete with storefronts, boardwalks, and hay bales.

Cirque du Hastings

The Grand Re-opening of Hasting Park was an event fit for the sport of kings! Cirque du Soleil-style entertainers dazzled the crowd while sumptuous décor transported guests into a world of glamour and magic. The magnificent 40 foot roller-coaster bar and slot machine ice carving delivering a jackpot of tiger prawns were the perfect décor highlights to showcase the expanded gaming facilities and a slice of local history in neighboring Playland’s world-famous wooden coaster.
