The deep colours of autumn and instantly recognizable Canadian icons such as the maple leaf and First Nations art were the inspiration for this décor theme. Our client wanted to offer guests an evening harbour cruise showcasing the most colourful season in our forests, along with a taste of the traditional and modern art from the West Coast.
This event was held at the newly renovated event space in Yaletown. The objective of this event was to celebrate the Grand Opening of a new office in Vancouver. The space was filled with enlarged photographs of our client’s projects on easels, eloquent food stations with fresh florals and innovative bar selections.
“High Tea at Ascot” was a day fit for Kings and Queens. Guests arrived dressed in their best High Tea attire and were given a Racing Program for the Main Event. Guests gathered at the Vancouver Art Gallery for a Gala evening with colleagues. Four separate areas of the Art Gallery displayed a different season. The most popular season was summer which showcased Mexican cuisine at its finest.
How to celebrate 50 years of country club history so that members of all ages can share the experience? We found the answer; Five Decades of Fun! Upon arrival guests spun the Wheel of Time to see which decade, from the 1960 to 2000, would be their entry into the club’s history. From there they enjoyed activities, food, and music particular to each era by visiting five different tents.
Have a green thumb? Guests got the chance to show off their planting skills at the 16th Annual Client Appreciation Picnic held at the Brock House in Vancouver. After selecting their own personal basket and decorating it with their creative flair, guests “shopped” for plants to add to their basket. Adorable gardening sets were awarded to the top 3 baskets.
Oktoberfest in February? We made it happen. Guests were greeted by costumed actors in Lederhosen as they entered the venue which had been transformed to resemble a Festhalle setting. German beer tasting stations surrounded a flowing cast iron fountain in the Platz. Guests were amazed at the 24’ ribbon ring which was suspended above the stage where a German band belted out authentic Oktoberfest songs.
Guests were treated to a complete 1950’s experience with Antique Cars, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Creative 1950 Crafts & Activities and Old Fashioned Sundaes. A beautifully packaged box of nostalgic 1950’s Candy was awarded for the best dressed female and male. The hit of the party; decorating your own Cat Eye Glasses & Chiffon Scarves.
Local VIP’s and dignitaries gathered for a first-hand look at a new development in New Westminster, BC. A reception followed at the Fraser River Discovery Centre where historical displays of The Brewery District were available for viewing.
