What’s New - The latest special event production news from Bright Ideas Event Coordinators.

Expertise + Creativity = A Bright Ideas Production

What do you do? We get asked that question a lot. That’s okay. Event production encompasses a lot of jobs and many kinds of special events. Prospective clients want to know they’re dealing with an event company who can get the job done. With 23 years in the business, Bright Ideas Event Coordinators has tackled a wide variety of projects, from intimate parties of 25 guests to large-scale events for 250,000 people. Our main focus is events for businesses – holiday parties in winter, employee & client barbecues in the summer, and themed corporate events year-round. We also work with private clients on a consultation basis when they need coordination expertise to ensure their guests enjoy a truly special event, whether it’s a private charitable fund-raiser, art gallery opening, or wedding to remember.

Regardless of the size of the budget or the number of guests, our goal is always the same: satisfied clients and events you’ll be proud to host. The Customer is Always Right

OK, let’s be honest. We’re biased. We think our company is one of the best special event production companies in Western Canada. But don’t take our word for it. Here’s what our clients have to say:

“Most of all, you made the event a worry-free one, and you and your staff thought of everything. To put on an event for 150+ people is no easy feat and you pulled it off without a glitch.”

“The Grand Opening was a huge success and we received many compliments from our guests. The suggestions you made at the planning meeting added the finishing touches to make our event so enjoyable – the harpists in the foyer, the golf cart for plant tours, and the beautiful décor.”

“Thank you Sharon, for every last detail of our yearly picnic. I have to mention that the scarves and cotton candy had the biggest positive feedback, no wait… it was Marilyn, um, the March Hare band, maybe it was the yo-yos or the gifts. I give up, all of it was NEAT!”

“You and your team helped make our event a huge success with your attention to detail, hands on involvement, and years of experience. Your company’s expertise was evident from start to finish. The Terasen committee members were able to relax and enjoy the party with the knowledge that everything was being looked after.”

Staff Pick of the Month

Each month we will showcase a staff member and share their favorite event. Here is Carolina Lee’s pick for May:

Cirque Du Hastings – click here to see photos of this stunning event.

“This event was a majestic example of creativity! The cirque performers and fire juggler were outstanding. The décor transported guests into a world of glamour and magic. The menu showcased a variety of unique elements and my favourite was the Ice Slot Machine which dispensed tiger prawns. The main attraction by far, was the 40′ long Roller Coaster Ice Bar complete with 8 bartenders. Overall, this event was flawless.”

Why should I hire Bright Ideas?

The best reason is so that you can enjoy your event, stress free. We will work with you in the pre-event stage – planning the theme, décor, menu, agenda, floor plan, guest gifts, etc. We then take care of all vendor contracts, permits, insurance, and ensure all of the details are looked after. On the night of the event, you’ll get to relax and enjoy yourself while we take care of all of the event production.

How do you charge for your service?

It sounds like a cliché but it is so true. Each project is unique. It is impossible to put a blanket “price tag” on our services. We sit down with you during our one hour complimentary consultation and assess the complexity of your event. We also assess what role your company is taking in the planning process. Once we get an idea of our involvement on the project, we can provide you with an event production estimate for our services.

What types of services do you provide?

We find the venue, suggest an appropriate theme, and help you establish your time line (agenda). We also offer themed menu choices, draw the floor plan to determine the most efficient use of the space, hire the photographer, security, support staff… the list goes on and on. We do it all. That’s why people love our services!
